Impact modifier masterbatch
PE
What is softening masterbatch (anti-impact PE)?
Polyethylene plasticizers are used to increase flexibility for hard PE polymers and increase impact resistance. The function of PE plasticizer masterbatch is actually to reduce intermolecular forces between polyethylene chains and increase flexibility and improve impactability. The main task of polyethylene plasticizer masterbatch is to reduce the glass transition temperature (Tg) of the polymer. This characteristic (Tg) indicates the transition from a rigid and glassy state to a flexible and rubbery state. By reducing this parameter, we get the following benefits:
- Lowering the glass transition temperature (Tg) causes the polymer to become rubbery and the result of the piece produced
- Increasing impact properties and improving long-term polymer structure retention
- Increasing flexibility and preventing from breaking due to product state change
- Better processing and production conditions
