Impact modifier masterbatch (PP)

Impact modifier masterbatch (PP)

This product, by creating the properties of elastomer in a completely engineered formulation and in order to eliminate the brittle and brittle state of polypropylene in various injection and extrusion products, according to the final product and the type of polypropylene along with technical advice in different grades, increases the properties of resistance to Impact and stress against cold and temperature changes.

Impact resistance of polypropylene combined with a filler such as (calcium carbonate, talc, barium) and glass fibers: polypropylene softener in various industries, including the production of car parts, products related to fibers and fabrics, and the compounding sector, etc. is used

Before knowing how the polypropylene softener softens and increases the impactability of polypropylene, it should be mentioned here that it is softened according to the type of polypropylene (homopolymer, copolymer) and what non-polar component it is combined with. The appropriate one is selected. And in situations where the goal of softening and impact resistance of polypropylene is considered (without mixing with filler and glass fibers), other softeners are introduced.

Types of polypropylene

  • Polypropylene homopolymer
  • Polypropylene copolymer (Random), (Impact)
  • Polypropylene alloys
  1. Homopolymer is divided into three categories based on its space structure: a) atactic b) isotactic c) Syndiotartic is separated. Their basic resistance is in the properties of crystallinity, degree of transparency, hardness and flexibility. The use of homopolymer in industries such as fibers and textiles for the production of yarn and polypropylene products is in the production of films and wrappers.
  2. Copolymer: They are made from the polymerization of two or more monomers and they can be divided into two categories: a) economic copolymer (Random PP) b) impact copolymer (Impact PP) c) block copolymer (Block PP)

Application of random copolymer: (extrusion) PP pipes (construction), household appliances, etc., with the highest transparency

Application of impact polymer: having impact properties for the injection production of automotive parts such as batteries – electrical parts of the industry

Block application:

Having the most impact properties, it is used in the manufacture of industrial parts.

3) Polypropylene alloys: Today, we are looking for products with more distinctive properties and increasing the properties of impact hardness, tensile strength, etc., from alloying polypropylene with glass fibers (Max: 40%), calcium carbonate (Max: 80%) and talc (Max: 80%) and the combination of alloying with other polymers such as polyethylene, POE taken with Maleic is used.

Advantages of masterbatch softener (anti-impact PP)

  • Flexibility and resistance to tearing and wear
  • Creating more impact and hardness properties
  • Avoid brittleness at temperatures below 20 degrees Celsius
  • Revival of polypropylene recycling materials and increasing properties reduced by recycling
  • Creating a competitive and economic advantage

Application of softening masterbatch (anti-impact PP)

  • Plastic seats produced with polypropylene
  • Boxes and boxes made of polypropylene
  • All injection and extrusion parts are made of polypropylene
  • Products that are used to reduce the cost of recycling or fillers such as talc carbonate, etc
  • Compounding industry
  • Polypropylene pipes and fittings produced by recycling and off-line waste
  • Packaging industry such as containers
  • Compounding industry
  • Household appliance industry
  • All parts produced with polypropylene
